Astrology for the Week of November 9, 2026
The week of November 9, 2026, day by day: a Scorpio new Moon, then Mercury and Venus both turn direct on Friday the 13th, hours apart.

Mercury and Venus have both been backing up since October, and on Friday the 13th they turn direct hours apart, Mercury in the late morning and Venus in the evening. That makes this the most hopeful week of the fall. A Scorpio new Moon opens it on Monday with a private fresh start, and by the weekend the sky has stopped asking you to go back over things.
Stations are slow, though. A planet that turns direct is barely moving at first, so the review you've been doing since October becomes a decision, not a sprint, and you get to take the first step at walking pace.

Day by day
Monday, November 9
The new Moon in Scorpio lands at 2:02 a.m. ET, at 16°54' Scorpio, while most people are asleep, which suits it. A Scorpio beginning does its best work out of sight, and the Scorpio Moon stays all day: intense, a little guarded, happier with one real conversation than ten casual ones. You write one line in a notebook and don't tell anyone, and that's the whole ritual. The New Moon in Scorpio forecast has more on this one.
Tuesday, November 10
Two things happen in the small hours. Venus sextiles Mars at 1:39 a.m. ET, at 23°09' Libra and Leo, with Venus retrograde, and wanting and doing line up a little. After weeks of reviewing what you want, there's a small, easy chance to act on one piece of it: you finally say the honest thing to the person you like, in a normal voice, without the speech you've been rehearsing. Venus in Libra wants it to feel fair, and Mars in Leo is happy to say it warmly out loud.
At 3:35 a.m. ET the Moon moves into Sagittarius, so the day runs lighter and funnier, and restless for a plan. If the honest thing still feels like too much, inviting them to something is a smaller way in.
Wednesday, November 11
Wednesday is all Sagittarius Moon: funny, restless, hungry for a plan or an adventure. Tuesday's link between Venus and Mars is still in the background, so if you didn't say the honest thing yesterday, you're not behind. Otherwise the mood suits putting a date on a "we should" that keeps coming up.
Thursday, November 12
Thursday changes gears in the afternoon. The Moon moves from Sagittarius into Capricorn at 3:27 p.m. ET, so the morning is still chatty and plan-happy, and by evening the Capricorn Moon puts you in work mode, with lists, deadlines and a longer view. It's a natural time to tidy the inbox before Friday.
Friday, November 13
Yes, it's Friday the 13th, and what it has going on in the sky is two retrogrades ending. The Capricorn Moon is in charge all day, which suits a restart you build one step at a time.
Mercury stations direct at 10:52 a.m. ET, at 5°02' Scorpio, after being retrograde since October 24. A station is the day a planet appears to stand still before it changes direction. Neither Mercury nor Venus ever went backward; it only looked that way from here. On the day itself it feels like a pause: the question you've been turning over stops spinning for a second before it starts to move forward. The review is over, and what Mercury covers (messages, plans, how you think things through) gets moving again, slowly at first, because the planet is still barely moving. That's the moment you send the message you've been holding since October, and you don't need the reply by lunch. The Mercury retrograde forecast covers the whole run.
Venus follows at 7:20 p.m. ET, at 22°52' Libra, after being retrograde since October 3. Words first, then wants. Venus is what you value and who you want around, and its backward stretch has been a review of that: who gets your time, what you were settling for, what you'd like more of. Once it turns direct, the question changes from "what do I want?" to "what am I going to do about it?", and that answer arrives slowly too. The Venus retrograde forecast has the full story.
Saturday, November 14
The Capricorn Moon is still on, and it likes structure: the planner, the calendar for the next few weeks, the long-term thing you keep putting off. The planets have only just turned, so keep it to a few small jobs.
Sunday, November 15
At 4:24 a.m. ET the Moon moves into Aquarius, and Sunday turns friendly, curious and a little detached: friends, ideas, doing your own thing. You're texting three friends about a plan that keeps getting bigger, which is the Aquarius Moon's idea of a Sunday.
That plan has company in the sky. Mars meets Jupiter at 25°53' Leo at 1:21 a.m. ET on Monday, November 16, which is Sunday, November 15, at 10:21 p.m. Pacific. Mars is drive, Jupiter is growth and belief, and in Leo they both want an audience, so big energy builds as the week closes. Think of Sunday as the warm-up.
Decide one thing, then go slowly
Pick one thing from your own review (the message you've been holding, the thing you want, the plan that's been a maybe) and write it as a single sentence. Then take the smallest next step on it before Sunday ends. The sky is only just moving forward again, so a small step is the right size, and nobody is timing you. The November 2026 forecast picks up from here, with both retrogrades behind us and Mars meeting Jupiter ahead.
