November has a seam down the middle, and it falls right around Friday the 13th. Before it, you're finishing a review: a private Scorpio new Moon on the 9th, then Mercury and Venus both turn direct, closing the retrograde chapter that began on October 3. After it, the fuel shows up. Mars meets Jupiter in Leo on the 16th, Sagittarius season opens on the 22nd, and a full Moon lands on Uranus on the 24th. The first half asks what you think and want. The second asks how big you'll go with the answer.

November 1 to 15: finishing the review

The month opens with a last quarter Moon in Leo on November 1, the clearing-out phase of the lunar cycle. On the 4th, Venus sextiles Jupiter, an easy opening for warmth, generosity and a good time that rewards a small effort, like actually making the plan. Hours later the Sun meets Mercury at 12°11' Scorpio, the middle of the Mercury retrograde, when Mercury passes between Earth and the Sun. Your mind and your sense of self line up, and something you agonized over last month may take one sentence to decide.

The new Moon in Scorpio arrives at 2:02 a.m. ET on the 9th, at 16°54' Scorpio. New Moons are fresh starts, and Scorpio, fixed water built on depth and privacy, makes it private: an intention you keep close instead of announcing, set in the last week of both retrogrades. Mars, Scorpio's traditional ruler (Pluto is the modern co-ruler), squares it from 22°41' Leo, a wide square about six degrees from exact that adds drive and a little impatience. The new Moon journal prompts are a good place to write the intention down. The next day Venus sextiles Mars, and wanting lines up with doing, a little. It's a small, easy chance to act on a desire or have the gentle version of a hard conversation, if you take it.

Mercury stations direct at 10:52 a.m. ET on November 13, at 5°02' Scorpio, and Venus follows at 7:20 p.m. ET at 22°52' Libra. A station is the day a planet seems to stand still before it changes direction, and retrograde motion is only apparent: neither planet really reverses. Turning direct is the review ending. After the Mercury retrograde in Scorpio and the Venus retrograde, what you've been reconsidering starts moving again, slowly at first, since both planets are barely moving. Mercury is words, so the email you've been rewriting since October finally has somewhere to go. Venus is wants, and the answer to what you value gets a first small step. Friday the 13th has a reputation, but this one is mostly the sound of two planets pointing forward.

November 16 to 23: Mars meets Jupiter, then a new season

Mars meeting Jupiter turns the volume up. On the 16th they meet at 25°53' Leo, so drive and growth blend in the sign of warmth, expression and wanting to be seen: confidence, generosity, the urge to go bigger and be seen doing it. Jupiter expands whatever it meets and Mars is already in a hurry, so the energy that finishes one project will happily start three. A first quarter Moon in Aquarius follows on the 17th, a phase for building and adjusting, so ask what the plan sounds like out loud.

The Sun squares Jupiter on the 18th. Who you are runs into the urge to expand, the kind of day when someone pitches a wild plan over dinner and you've agreed before dessert. It pushes you to act, so check the scale. The next day the Sun squares Mars, and the friction shows up as a shorter fuse, competitive energy and an urge to just do it. It suits physical effort, so spend it on a workout, and watch the snap.

The Sun enters Sagittarius on the 22nd, and the mood swings from Scorpio's depth to Sagittarius's range: mutable fire, exploration, conviction, a wider view. Jupiter rules Sagittarius and is the planet Mars just met, so the season starts with momentum built in. On the first cold morning, you start a new playlist and a new habit the same day. The next evening the Sun trines Neptune, an easy flow between who you are and what you imagine, creative and a little dreamy. An evening like that feels lovely and produces nothing unless you set a blank page in front of it.

The Gemini full Moon and Mars in Virgo

The full Moon in Gemini peaks at 9:53 a.m. ET on the 24th, at 2°20' Gemini, with Uranus at 3°44' Gemini, about a degree and a half away. Gemini is mutable air, which means curiosity, talk and variety, and Uranus brings surprise, so ideas arrive whole and minds change fast. You hear yourself say the opposite of what you said last week, and it feels right. Full Moons are culmination and release, so let the old version go. The November full Moon is traditionally the Beaver Moon, named for beavers finishing their lodges before winter, which suits a month about finishing things.

On the 25th, the Sun sextiles Pluto, a quiet opening to go a layer deeper than usual. Later that day the Sun opposes Uranus, a pull between who you are and the urge for change: restlessness, sudden changes of plan, the itch to break routine. It asks for balance, not a dramatic exit, so change one thing and not everything. Then Mars enters Virgo and drive turns practical: lists, repairs, details. You book the holiday travel early and feel like a functional adult. Virgo is Mercury's sign, and so is Gemini, so the full Moon and Mars's new home both belong to the planet that recently turned direct.

Thanksgiving falls on November 26, with the Moon in Cancer, a mood that leans toward the kitchen and the long table. On the 28th Venus sextiles Jupiter again, now with Venus direct, and the easy warmth from the 4th comes around for another small effort: making the plan.

The slow sky and a peek at December

Jupiter stays in Leo all month, growth through being seen. Saturn and Neptune are retrograde in Aries, so structures and dreams stay under slow review, Uranus is retrograde in Gemini, and Pluto is in Aquarius. On the 29th, Uranus trines Pluto, a slow current of change in ideas, technology and how groups organize. For one person it's a quiet backdrop. The month closes calmly: on the 30th the Sun trines Saturn, and steady effort pays, which suits commitments and a routine built to last.

In early December, Venus returns to Scorpio on the 4th, Mercury enters Sagittarius on the 6th, Saturn turns direct on the 10th, and Jupiter turns retrograde and Neptune turns direct on the 12th.

November 2026 for your sign

Read for your rising sign, or for your Sun sign if you don't know your birth time. Houses here are whole sign houses: your rising sign is your 1st house, the next sign is your 2nd, and so on around the wheel.

Aries

Mars meets Jupiter in your 5th house of romance, creativity and play, so the month's loudest invitation is to do the fun thing out loud: flirt, perform, make something with your name on it. Sagittarius season then opens your 9th house of beliefs and long trips, and what you made starts wanting a plane ticket.

Taurus

Mercury turning direct and the Scorpio new Moon both land in your 7th house of one-to-one relationships, so the conversation you've been rewording has one person's name on it. Then the full Moon and Uranus reach your 2nd house of money and values, where an old answer about what something is worth may change by dinner.

Gemini

The full Moon lands in your own sign, your 1st house, with Uranus beside it, so on the 24th you're allowed to change your mind in public. Earlier, your 3rd house of communication and short trips hosts Mars and Jupiter: a lot of ideas looking for an audience.

Cancer

On Thanksgiving the Moon, your ruler, is in your own sign, so give yourself a soft landing. Uranus and the full Moon share your 12th house of rest and retreat, where a change of heart can happen in private first, and the Scorpio new Moon sits in your 5th house of romance, creativity and play, so set the intention around something you love.

Leo

Mars and Jupiter meet in your sign, your 1st house, and it's the most you the month gets: confident, generous, ready to be seen. The Sun squares both on the 18th and 19th, so check the scale before you promise. Sagittarius season then lights your 5th house of romance, creativity and play.

Virgo

Mercury turns direct in your 3rd house of communication and learning, so the class you've been eyeing is easier to start. The full Moon on Uranus lands in your 10th house of career and public role, a surprise change of mind about how visible you want to be, and then Mars arrives in your sign on the 25th and turns all of it into a plan.

Libra

Venus, your ruler, turns direct in your sign on the 13th, so the question of what you want moves from review to action. Your 2nd house of money and values takes the new Moon and Mercury's turn, which asks what you'd pay for, in cash or in time. Sagittarius season then sends your 3rd house of communication and short trips looking for somewhere new to go.

Scorpio

Your own sign, your 1st house, gets the new Moon and Mercury's turn direct, so the private fresh start is yours first, and you decide how private. Over in your 10th house of career and public role, Mars meets Jupiter: the same drive, pointed at your work and your reputation, where you're allowed to take credit.

Sagittarius

The quiet part comes first: the new Moon and Mercury's turn direct sit in your 12th house of retreat and rest, so stay in and sort your thoughts. Then Mars meets Jupiter, your ruler, in your 9th house of beliefs and long trips, and the plan you've been circling gets fuel. On the 22nd the Sun enters your own sign, your 1st house.

Capricorn

Sagittarius season opens in your 12th house of retreat and rest, so the rest of the month invites a slower pace. Then Uranus and the full Moon shake your 6th house of daily routines and work, where a routine you thought was fixed is open to an edit, and the Sun trines Saturn, your ruler, on the 30th, which favors the edit that lasts.

Aquarius

The person across from you, in your 7th house of one-to-one relationships, is bringing more energy than usual, because Mars and Jupiter meet there. Sagittarius season brings your 11th house of friends, groups and hopes into focus, and in your 5th house of creativity and play the full Moon on Uranus lets an idea arrive whole while you're doing something for no reason at all.

Pisces

Ordinary weeks get unexpected momentum when Mars and Jupiter meet in your 6th house of daily routines and work, and the maintenance you keep stepping around finally has fuel. Home and private life, your 4th house, are where the full Moon and Uranus land, a fine excuse to move the furniture. Your rulers, Jupiter and Neptune, both turn on December 12, Jupiter retrograde and Neptune direct.

Carry one thing into December

Pick the one thing that started moving again on the 13th and give it a small, regular place in your week. By the time Mercury enters Sagittarius on December 6, it's easier to widen a habit that already exists than to start one from nothing.
