Moon Phases and Transits
What Moon Phase Were You Born Under?
The Moon's phase on the day you were born shows how your Sun and Moon work together, from new moon starts to full moon balance.
⟶Your birth Moon phase shows how your Sun and Moon work together, whether they point the same way or face each other across the sky. Enter your birth date and place to find which of the eight phases is yours.
The phase comes from the angle between the Sun and the Moon at your birth, split into eight equal parts, each centered on its moment, so the full Moon phase covers the couple of days either side of the exact full Moon. The whole cycle takes about 29.5 days. A birth time only matters if the phase changed on your birthday, and then the tool shows both and asks for it.
Near a new Moon your Sun and Moon are lined up, so what you want and what you need tend to point the same way. Near a full Moon they face each other, and you feel both sides. The phases in between are the slide from one to the other. Your birth phase is fixed, and tonight's Moon is a separate thing. Your result comes with a short reading of your phase.
Only if the Moon moved into a new phase on your birthday. Otherwise your date and birthplace are enough.
